Okay, I have not been a huge fan of the LMGs in mw3... but woah just gave a spin to the pecheneg and it is a beast when used effectively. It has a very manly sound and I'm totally in love with that gun now

Yup, I´ve been into the LMGs ever since the very beginning. I had a golden M60E4 in CoD4. In MW2 they were frequently used since they had no damage dropdown. However in MW3 they have more of a learning curve to them.

Before I prestiged the PKP was the very first LMG that I felt suited me (until I could unlock the M60). I also like the fact that Iron sights works absoluley fine with this one.
If you stick to burst fire it 2-4 bullets, you can even get away without having kick or grip on it. I recently picked it up now at my 5:th prestige (where I am going to stay until late spring) and run it with Rapid Fire and a Silencer.

Surley you´ve heard about the LMGs and the Thermal and PKP is no exception. I have about 400 kills with it since the last time I used it so nw I only need about a 100 more for 10.000 XP.

PKP does not drop damage until 1200 untis. that means you can slap a ailencer on it and have 40 damage for 1000 units before damage dropdown (same as the ACR without a silencer).

Yeh I like it. I think the L86 is pretty good as well and I really enjoy using the MG36 with silencer it seems really effective.

ye, i just tested the m60 and have nothing bad to say about thay badboy either i havent yet tried thermal but ill take ur advice and give it a shot.. hmm.. i have to try l86 if its as good as u say with silencer! i would love to have a LMG that will do fine with silencer on it! coz i sucked ass with pkp silenced tbh

Gonna have to give the PKP more chances. My first attempts were utterly failed, so I guess the gun becomes much better with some attachments.

So true. its all about finding the setup u like the most in game currently i'm running the pkp with attachments (RD and grip).

The MG36 with silencer is really not that bad of a gun. I had some pretty good Domination matches with that attachment, with Mission and Marketplace being good maps for it.

I use the PKP with Kick + Silencer. I always use the Marksman perk too.

The PKP is a good gun, I've only recently discovered it too and I'm becoming a big fan.

Looking at my personal weapon stats last night, in terms of K/D ratio, the PKP is second and only beaten by the Type95. So for me, the PKP works well.

I've just started using the MK46 suppressed on my Anti Air Class and it's fairly solid but ultimately outclassed by most other gun types. The main gripe I have with LMG's is the fact that they have introduced damage drop off in MW3. In previous titles, you would sacrifice mobility for constant high end damage at all ranges (god I miss the RPD). If there was no drop off, I for one would definitely use them a whole lot more.

I'll admit I haven't used it much. Tried it out last prestige and found it only useful for assists and then getting killed. I was hoping it would be MW3's RPD but sadly I was mistaken. Man, I fucking miss that gun

Yep, PKP is awesome, and my favourite LMG. I used it with Blind Eye Pro, Quick Draw Pro and Stalker Pro, and laughed my head off anytime an enemy called in air support. It never stayed in the air for long.

I did the whole L86 w/thermal bit and found it pretty good however the PKP is definitely my fave LMG. Doesn't quite do as much damage as the M60 but then it doesn't have as bad a recoil as the M60 either. Currently using mine with Grip + RF and it's pretty sweet. Paired with Stalker Pro, just glide from room to room and spray anyone that crosses your path.

Ye! I use stalker too with PKP for the same reason otherwise i am not one of the greatest fans of stalker but it sure does make things smoother running with a lmg

now im prestige 10 just started to go thro the lmgs cause im aimuing at getting every gun gold (got all the ar now apart from the m14 and m16) i was suprised by how much i like it....
